Healing begins here.
The Children’s House provides mental health treatment to restore a child’s feeling of safety and to begin the healing process. The center provides Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children who have experienced trauma. This therapy model is research-based and a highly effective therapy model for children ages 3-18. Our therapists work with children and their non-offending caregivers for 8-12 sessions to address the trauma, teach coping mechanisms, and build resiliency.
Trauma-focused therapy is currently being offered onsite at the CHCAC and offsite within the Athens, Northeast Bradford, Towanda, Sayre, and Wyalusing Area School Districts.
We also provide referrals to our partner agencies in the surrounding area to ensure that every child has access to therapeutic treatment.
