Case Coordination

Putting the wellbeing of each child first.

When there are concerns about child abuse in Bradford and Sullivan Counties, The Children’s House coordinates a team of professionals to respond together, with the child at the center of every decision.

Instead of asking children to move from agency to agency, our Multidisciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) brings the investigation to the child. This coordinated approach helps streamline communication, reduce delays, and ensure professionals are working from shared information.

Most importantly, coordination limits the need for children to repeat their experiences. Fewer interviews mean less stress, less confusion, and less risk of additional trauma during an already difficult time.

Every step of the process is guided by one priority: protecting the child’s wellbeing while supporting non-offending caregivers and strengthening the overall response.
Referrals for forensic interviews are made at the request of investigators.

Case Tracking

Care does not end after the first response.

The Children’s House actively tracks all open cases to ensure children and families continue to receive timely support and that investigations and services move forward in a coordinated way.

Through regular multidisciplinary review, team members share updates, identify outstanding needs, and address any barriers that could delay services or impact a child’s wellbeing. This ongoing communication helps ensure cases do not stall and families are not left navigating the system alone.

Case tracking allows the team to:

  • Monitor progress across agencies

  • Ensure referrals and services are completed

  • Identify gaps or emerging concerns

  • Maintain accountability throughout the process

By reviewing cases together, we help ensure that children remain supported from first response through resolution, with care, coordination, and attention at every stage.
