The Children’s House Child Advocacy Center (CHCAC) is a safe, welcoming place for children and families when there are concerns about abuse or neglect.

When a child comes to The Children’s House, they are met with care, not pressure. Families are supported, not judged. Our role is to help children feel safe enough to be heard and to help families understand what comes next.

We bring services together in one child-friendly location, including family advocacy, forensic interviews, medical exams, and mental health support. By working as a coordinated Multi-Disciplinary Investigative Team, we reduce the number of interviews a child experiences and limit unnecessary system involvement, helping minimize additional trauma during an already difficult time.

Every child and family referred to The Children’s House is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. We serve all families, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, family structure, socioeconomic status, or language.

Our commitment is simple: to put the child first, honor the family’s experience, and make a hard moment feel safer, steadier, and less overwhelming.
